This is an early and simple attempt of "downscaling" the deterministic GFS forecast. I have set up a single-grid ARF-ARW run. It has a resolution of about 15 km. The WRF job is run using the GFS forecast as its initial and boundary conditions. The large scale forcing for this run is totally from the GFS forecast. The job runs for six days (144 hours).
The current configuration covers Florida and surrounding coastal waters.
